Council and public services

Seaford has three councils. Seaford Town Council looks after local matters and runs the town's events calendar. Lewes District Council looks after bins and recycling, council tax, housing and planning. East Sussex County Council looks after roads, on-street parking, libraries, schools and social care.

• Seaford Town Council: councillors, meetings, and the town's events calendar.
• Lewes District Council: its website is shared with Eastbourne Borough Council, so choose Lewes where it asks.
• East Sussex County Council: roads and transport, libraries, schools and parking.
• Find your MP: UK Parliament's search for the MP for Seaford.

Not sure where to start? A missed bin collection goes to the district council; a pothole or a broken street light goes to the county council.

Heritage

• Seaford Museum: local history in the Martello tower on the Esplanade, run by the Seaford Museum and Heritage Society, with talks and events.
• Seaford Little Theatre: the town's amateur theatre company, at the Little Theatre on Steyne Road.

Business

• Seaford Chamber of Commerce: the town's business network.

Voluntary and community groups

• Community Action East Sussex (formerly 3VA): support for voluntary and community groups in Lewes District, Eastbourne and Wealden, with volunteering opportunities and local vacancies.
