Worthing community

These links take you straight to the organisations themselves, so you always get their latest information. We do not copy posts from community groups or news sites; follow the links to read them in full.

Council and public services

Worthing has two councils. Worthing Borough Council, which shares its website and staff with Adur District Council as Adur & Worthing Councils, looks after bins and recycling, council tax, housing, planning and the seafront. West Sussex County Council looks after roads, on-street parking, libraries, schools and social care.

• Adur & Worthing Councils: bins, council tax, housing, planning and the seafront; choose Worthing where it asks.
• West Sussex County Council: roads and transport, libraries, schools and parking.
• Find your MP: UK Parliament's search for the MP for Worthing.

Not sure where to start? A missed bin collection goes to the borough council; a pothole or a broken street light goes to the county council.

Culture and heritage

• Worthing Theatres and Museum: the Pavilion Theatre, the Assembly Hall, the Connaught and Worthing Museum and Art Gallery.
• Highdown Gardens: the chalk garden on the western edge of the town.

Something missing?

If you run a community group, charity or public service in Worthing and would like a link here, use our contact form. You can also submit a listing for a business or venue. We add groups once we can see their own website or public page, and we never charge for a community link.

About these links

We check every link on this page when we add it, and again whenever we update the page. Councils and groups sometimes move their pages; if a link stops working, tell us and we will put it right. For anything urgent, such as a road hazard or a missed collection, contact the council directly rather than through us.
