Terms of use

PostcodeGo is a free, independent local information service. By using the site you agree to these terms.

Who runs PostcodeGo

PostcodeGo is operated by SCC Nexus Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 17458303, registered office 49 Station Road, Polegate, East Sussex, BN26 6EA.

Using the information

We bring together information from public and open sources: postcodes.io for postcodes, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute for the weather, OpenStreetMap for stations, bustimes.org and the government's open bus data for bus stops and times, and National Rail for train times. We show what they tell us and say when a source is not available, but details change, sometimes at short notice. For important journeys, check with the train or bus operator before you travel.

Town guides

Our town guides, such as BrightonGo and LewesGo, have their own terms on their own websites. A listing in a town guide is not an endorsement or a recommendation.

Advertising

Adverts are labelled "Advertisement" and kept apart from the ordinary listings. Buying an advert does not buy an endorsement, a better position in our directory, a change to what the directory says or the removal of another business. We check every advert before it appears and may refuse one, ask for evidence of a claim, or pause an advert if the page it links to changes. Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of their adverts, including prices, offers, pictures and permissions. Adverts are sold by SCC Nexus Limited, paid in advance by card (taken by Stripe) or by invoice, at the prices on the Advertise page; SCC Nexus Limited is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. If we cannot accept an advert, anything paid is refunded in full; card payments are refunded to the same card. Once an advert has started, the months paid for are not refundable unless we stop it early for our own reasons, in which case we refund the unused whole months. Every booking is a single payment: nothing renews automatically.

Launch vouchers give the discount printed on them (50% off the first month of one advert) until the date shown. Each code can be used once, for one advert; it has no cash value and cannot be exchanged or combined with another voucher.

Business pages

A business page is written by the business it describes and is labelled as its own description. The business is responsible for keeping it accurate and lawful, and for having permission to publish its photos. We check pages and changes before they appear and may decline, edit out or remove anything untrue, unlawful, misleading or unsuitable. A business page does not change where the business appears in our directory, or what the directory says about it. Details such as prices and opening times can change: check with the business before you travel.

Other websites

PostcodeGo links to other websites. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices, and a link does not mean we endorse them.

Intellectual property

PostcodeGo is owned by SCC Nexus Limited. PostcodeGo™, LewesGo™ and BrightonGo™ are brands of SCC Nexus Limited. The PostcodeGo name and logo, the design and code of this website and the text we write are the intellectual property of SCC Nexus Limited, and all rights in them are reserved. You may not copy, scrape, republish or reuse them, or use them to build another website or service, without our written permission. Short quotations with a link back to the page are welcome.

Some of what you see belongs to others and is used under their licences, which we credit where it appears: station positions from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, Open Database Licence), postcode data from the Office for National Statistics and Ordnance Survey (Open Government Licence), bus data from the Bus Open Data Service (Open Government Licence) and weather from MET Norway (CC BY 4.0).

Our responsibility

We provide PostcodeGo free of charge and cannot promise it will always be available, complete or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on information on the site. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and law

We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always on this page. The law of England and Wales applies to these terms.
